You will have to wait 10+ hours and get to see a doctor for 5-10 minutes. It'll be more efficient to drive to Ontario to see a doctor if you don't want to waste your time and not get properly treated. You can clearly observe/experience the effect of budget cut on the quality of public health care at this hospital (or just poor management in general). This hospital makes a perfect example of how taxpayers' money does not reflect on the health care we deserve. Expect depersonalization and helplessness during your visit. Stay strong and good luck

➡️➡️ At least have a look, ask questions, and get informed before telling your patients to go home. ⬅️⬅️

When I arrived at the emergency, the printing-numbers-computer for the pre-triage wasn’t working. We were in line for an hour to get it to finally work.

Went there for a blood test. I didn't have an appointment and I was in and out in under and hour - including the time it took to have my hospital card done. Quick and efficient service and the staff and nurses were very professional. Clean facilities and the hospital is super easily accessible from the metro.

SHE DIDN’T ASK ANY QUESTIONS AND DIDN’T EVEN LOOK AT MY WOUND.

Doctors in Vietnam told me it was critical since it was resistant to all antibiotics I took and they insist that I need to get hospitalized.

I'm pretty content with the services but avoid going there when it's late unless it's a real emergency. There is most likely only 1 triage doctor running around dealing with the ambulance patience in the back and the walk in patience in the front. You'll end up waiting till morning to see anyone especially if you're not categorized as an emergency.

Once my turn finally arrived, the nurse ask me the reason I came and I explained her that I have been in 3 hospital in Vietnam in the last 5 weeks for a very bad infected wound from a motorbike accident.

The nurse in charge of the pre-triage start taking patients randomly without verifying who arrive first.

But I wanted to wait a few days so I would be back in Canada and (hopefully) get proper care. So disappointing.

She just told me it was a busy day and I wasn’t priority. SHE SENT ME HOME.
